Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V Inverter Charger (UL 458)

The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V is an all-in-one inverter and battery charger designed for North American 50A 120/240V split-phase electrical systems. Ideal for RVs, boats and mobile power installations, it combines a 3000VA pure sine wave inverter, 120A adaptive battery charger and 50A AC transfer capability.

When connected to a 120/240V split-phase shore-power or generator source, the MultiPlus-II can pass both incoming lines through to the electrical panel. When connected to a single-phase 120V source, it supplies 120V to both sides of the panel. This makes it a practical one-box solution for vehicles and boats that may connect to different AC power sources.

When shore or generator power is unavailable, the inverter automatically supplies 120V power to both L1 and L2. Because both lines are connected in phase during inverter operation, 240V equipment will only operate while a suitable 120/240V split-phase AC source is connected. This prevents high-demand 240V appliances from unintentionally draining the battery bank.

PowerControl and PowerAssist help manage limited shore or generator capacity. The MultiPlus-II can reduce battery-charging output when AC demand increases and supplement the available source with battery power when additional output is required.

VE.Bus communication allows the MultiPlus-II to integrate with compatible Victron GX devices for local and remote system monitoring. With a GX device connected to the internet, users can view system performance and supported controls through the Victron Remote Management portal and VRM app.

This model supports compatible lithium iron phosphate and lead-acid battery systems and is certified to UL 458.

Important 2x120V operating note:

This model does not produce 240V from the battery during inverter operation. It supplies 120V to both L1 and L2 in phase. A compatible 120/240V split-phase shore-power or generator source must be connected for 240V loads to operate.

Installation note:

This inverter/charger must be properly sized, wired, configured and protected for the intended electrical system. Installation by a qualified marine or electrical technician is recommended.
